Following its recent run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, James Freedman: Man of Steal is transferring to Trafalgar Studios 1 later this month, WhatsOnStage can reveal.

The show sees Freedman "expose how the bad guys really work" by demonstrating his skills as a "pickpocket entertainer".

Freedman says his act was inspired by observing real-life pickpockets at work in Paris as a child. "It was then I decided to become a pickpocket myself – only an honest one," he says. "I want to educate people to help them avoid becoming victims."

He claims to be "the only man to have picked the pockets of The Mayor of London, The Chancellor and the Governor of the Bank of England."

It will run at Trafalgar Studios, where it follows Golem, from 26 May to 4 July 2015.
