Into the Woods West End transfer reveals additional casting

The Olivier Award-winning production begins performances at the Noël Coward Theatre this autumn

Additional casting has been confirmed for the West End transfer of the Bridge Theatre’s award-winning revival of Into the Woods. 

Director Jordan Fein’s production of the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine musical was the most nominated musical revival of the year at the Olivier Awards, with 11 nods. It won two – Best Musical Revival and Best Lighting.

As previously announced, the show will open this autumn at the Noël Coward Theatre, with performances beginning on 22 September, running until 9 January 2027. An opening night is set for 7 October.

Joining Kate Fleetwood, who will be reprising her role as the Witch, will be returning cast members Valda Aviks (as Grandmother/Giant), Geoffrey Aymer (as Cinderella’s Father), Jo Foster (as Jack), Jennifer Hepburn (as Cinderella’s Stepmother and Alternate Witch), Hana Ichijo (as Lucinda), Julie Jupp (as Jack’s Mother), Gabrielle Lewis-Dodson (as Florinda), and Gracie McGonigal (as Little Red Riding Hood), with Jacob Fowler and Sophie Linder-Lee also returning as Standbys.

Further casting will be announced at a later date.

The Bridge creative team includes set and costume designer Tom Scutt, musical supervisor Mark Aspinall, orchestrator Jonathan Tunick, sound designer Adam Fisher, lighting designer Aideen Malone, video designer Roland Horvath, movement director Jenny Ogilvie, wigs, hair and make-up designer Sam Cox, puppetry designers Cheryl ‘Chuck’ Brown, Max Humphries and Scutt, and musical director Alex Beetschen.

The production manager is Chris Hay, alongside associate director Georgia Green, scenic associate David Allen, associate musical director Cat Beveridge, associate sound designer Ollie Durrant, associate lighting designer Lucy Adams, associate costume designer Lucy Martin, associate video designer Hayley Egan, wigs, hair and make-up supervisor Charlie Watson, costume supervisor Lydia McDonald, and props supervisors Jonathan Hall and Chris Marcus for Marcus Hall Props. Orchestral management is by Andy Barnwell and Rich Weeden for BW Musicians, and the casting director is Stuart Burt. Orchestral management is by Andy Barnwell and Richard Weeden for BW Musicians.

The West End transfer is presented by Jamie Wilson Productions, Kevin McCollum and New Ventures Entertainment.
