Mark Healy’s play opens at The Vaults on 4 August
Casting has been announced for Mark Healy's adaptation of John Fowles' novel The Collector.
Game of Thrones star Daniel Portman will play Fredrick Payne alongside Lily Loveless (Skins) who will play Miranda Grey.
The play is about a man who collects butterflies and becomes infatuated with an art student. The psychological thriller sees him leave his job to live on a remote farmhouse, where he prepares the basement for a 'special house guest'.
John Hufton (Dead Poets Society, Secret Cinema) will direct the play, which opens at The Vaults on 4 August.
Fowles' 1963 debut novel was made into a four-time Oscar-nominated film directed by William Wyler who turned down the chance to direct The Sound of Music to take on the film.
The Collector will run at The Vaults from 4 to 26 August.
