A full live orchestra, open-air on the Downs

A full live orchestra performs every song, not in a concert hall or a theatre, but out in the open air on the Downs, with the Clifton Suspension Bridge on the horizon and the midsummer sky stretching out above you. There’s something genuinely special about music that usually lives indoors – those soaring orchestral swells, the full-bodied roar of a West End overture – suddenly set free under the open sky. Come and hear the difference.

60 plus performers, all on one stage

This isn’t a greatest hits album – it’s the real thing, live and in full. Over 60 West End performers take to the stage for a breathtaking spectacle of singing, dancing and showmanship. Joining them are Britain’s Got Talent favourites Welsh of the West End, who bring an extra sprinkle of magic to an already extraordinary evening. You won’t see a cast like this twice.

The greatest shows of all time, back to back

Wicked. The Lion King. Mamma Mia!. Moulin Rouge!. Les Misérables. Chicago. The Greatest Showman. The Sound of West End Musicals covers the full sweep of Broadway and the West End’s most beloved productions in a single evening. Whether you’re a lifelong musical theatre fan or bringing someone who’s never been before, there is something here that will stop them in their tracks – and hearing it all live, back to back, is an experience that no individual show can match.

Gareth Gates is on the bill

Pop icon. West End star. And yes – he’ll be performing live on the Downs on 31 July. Gareth Gates has built a career that spans chart-topping singles and acclaimed stage roles, and his appearance here is one of those moments you’ll be talking about long after the night is over. Special guest appearances don’t come much bigger than this.
