First look: Reece Shearsmith in The Dresser

Selina Cadell and Harriet Thorpe will also star in the production

The first image of Ken Stott and Reece Shearsmith in character in The Dresser has been released.

Further casting for Ronald Harwood's play has also been announced.

Selina Cadell (Twelfth Night, Donmar Warehouse) and Harriet Thorpe (Cabaret, Lyric Theatre) will join the previously announced Stott and Shearsmith.

Harwood's play tells the of the struggle to keep a theatre open during wartimes, and will be directed by Sean Foley. The play was made into a film in 1983, and led to an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for Albert Finney.

The play will open at the Richmond Theatre, before moving to Brighton Theatre Royal, Everyman Theatre Cheltenham, and Duke of York's Theatre.

The Dresser opens at the Richmond Theatre on 12 September, and will run at Duke of York's Theatre from 12 October to 14 January.
