Images have been released offering a first look at the cast of Stephen Oliver and Tim Rice's Blondel, which opens at the Union Theatre this week.

Blondel premiered in the West End in 1983, and was the first musical Rice wrote with a composer other than Andrew Lloyd Webber. Set during the Crusades, it tells the story of a minstrel who embarks on a quest to find the missing King Richard.

Directed by Sasha Regan, the cast features Connor Arnold in the titular role alongside Courtney Bowman, Michael Burgen, Lauren Byrne, David Fearn, Ryan Hall, Oliver Marshall, Jessie May, Katie Meller, Calum Melville, Neil Moors, Craig Nash, Michaela Stern, James Thackeray and Jay Worthy.

Blondel runs at the Union Theatre until 15 July 2017.
