Production images have been released of the first part of the National Theatre's revival of Angels in America.
Andrew Garfield, Denise Gough, Russell Tovey and Nathan Lane all star in Marianne Elliott's production, which is currently in previews and opens on 4 May.
The rest of the cast includes Stuart Angell, Mark Arnold, Arun Blair-Mangat, Susan Brown, Laura Caldow, Kate Harper, John Hastings, Claire Lambert, Amanda Lawrence, James McArdle, Becky Namgauds, Mateo Oxley, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Paksie Vernon, Stan West and Lewis Wilkins.
Angels in America is written by Tony Kushner and is made up of two plays. The first is subtitled Millennium Approaches, the second is Perestroika. Set in the '80s it chronicles the lives of New Yorkers in the midst of an AIDs crisis.
Though the show is sold out, tickets can still be bought through a ballot and day seats are available. The NT Live screenings of Millennium Approaches will take place on 20 July, with Perestroika being broadcast on 27 July.
Angels in America runs from 4 May to 19 August, with previews from now.
