Bill Kenwright’s production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical continues to tour the UK and internationally
Further UK dates have been announced for the tour of the recent production of Evita, produced by Bill Kenwright.
Continuing on its international and UK tour in 2018, the show will open at the Torquay Princess Theatre on 13 March before touring to Birmingham, Truro, Shrewsbury, Swansea, Chester and more until November.
The cast for the tour will be lead by Gian Marco Schiaretti as Che, Jeremy Secomb as Juan Perón, and Madalena Alberto as the titular role of Evita Perón. Alberto returns to the role following her run in the part at the Dominion Theatre in 2014.
Secomb joins the cast following a run in Sweeney Todd in New York and playing Javert in Les Miserábles, while Schiaretti continues in the role following his turn in the West End production in 2017.
The cast is completed by: Oscar Balmaseda (Magaldi), Cristina Hoey (Mistress), Kellie Gnauck (ensemble), Bethan Jacks (Ensemble), Samuel John Humphreys (ensemble), Benjamin McMillan (ensemble), Verity Burgess (ensemble), Riva Grant (ensemble), Callum Fitzgerald (ensemble), Joe McCourt (ensemble), Emmanuel Alba (ensemble), Yuval Zoref (ensemble), Oliver Slade (ensemble), Jessica Ellen (ensemble), Kirsty Whelan (ensemble), Anthony Ray (ensemble); and Mike Ward (ensemble).
Evita is Lloyd Webber and Rice's musical about Argentinian legend Eva Peron. Songs from the show include "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", "On This Night of a Thousand Stars" and "Another Suitcase in Another Hall".
Evita runs at the Torquay Princess Theatre from 13 to 17 March, Birmingham Hippodrom from 20 to 24 March, Turo Hall for Cornwall from 27 to 31 March and continues to tour until November 2018.
