A big moment for the TV and film star

Former National Theatre director Richard Eyre will return to the venue to helm a new production of David Hare’s play Plenty.
The revival marks a continuation of the artistic partnership between Eyre and Hare, staged ahead of the play’s 50th anniversary.
Emilia Clarke will make her National Theatre debut as part of the initial cast confirmed for the staging.
First premiered at the National Theatre in 1978, the drama spans two decades, tracing the life of a former Special Operations Executive agent in post-Second World War Britain as she copes with the contrast between her wartime experiences and post-war society.
