Christina Bianco brings her YouTube diva impressions to this years Fringe.
Christina Bianco makes her UK debut in her uniquely brilliant diva cabaret impression show, Divallusion. Teaming up with Velma Celli, the pair take us through a journey of diva songs and impressions that leave the audience in awe of the performances.
As she channels her her inner Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand, Bianco's impressions are second to none and her song choices keep the pace of the show. For the musical theatre-going audience, there are renditions of Kristen Chenoweth, Bernadette Peters and Julie Andrews that make it feel like a Broadway show of its own.
But she has a terrific voice without the impressions and, as she gears up for her London debut in Forbidden Broadway, there is now doubt the future stands bright for this versatile voice.
Ian Stroughair's Velma Celli gives an impressive performance of Jessie J and Margaret Thatcher whilst bringing a bucket load of camp fun to the proceedings. His typical drag queen humour is met with welcome laughs but his audience interaction did leave some of the crowd feeling a little uncomfortable – naturally!
Divallusion is a triple threat show at the Fringe; combining comedy and music with genuine talent, this cabaret act is an imaginative way to spend the early evening.
