Producers have confirmed the musical will make its UK premiere at the Prince Edward Theatre
Cameron Mackintosh has confirmed that the Broadway hit musical Aladdin, will be flying into the Prince Edward Theatre (current home of Miss Saigon) in summer 2016, according to Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail.
Disney's screen-to-stage musical – which is currently playing to packed houses on Broadway – has been long-rumoured for a West End transfer, and it had previously been thought to be lined up as a replacement for Cats at the Palladium.
The announcement means that Miss Saigon, which is now in its second year at the Prince Edward, would close this time next year, and Bamigboye has suggested it will then transfer to Broadway.
