Crazy For You starring Tom Chambers to embark on UK tour

The Watermill in Newbury's production of Crazy for You is to head out on a UK tour.

Crazy For You stars Tom Chambers, who will continue in the lead role of Bobby on the tour, which opens at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth on 17 August 2017.

The musical is made up of songs by the Gershwin brothers, including "I Got Rhythm", "They Can't Take That Away From Me" and "Nice Work If You Can Get It".

Top Hat star Chambers plays the stage-mad son of a wealthy banker family who is given the task of closing a theatre in Nevada.

Dates on the UK tour in 2017 include 17 to 26 August, Theatre Royal Plymouth; 5 to 9 September, Wales Millenium Centre; 12 to 16 September, Theatre Royal Newcastle; 3 to 7 October, Theatre Royal Nottingham; 10 to 14 October, Bristol Hippodrome; 17 to 21 October, Glasgow Kings Theatre; 7 November to 11 November, Sheffield Lyceum; 21 November to 25 November, Mayflower Theatre Southampton; 28 November to 2 December, Manchester Opera House; 5 December to 9 December, Liverpool Empire.

The production is directed by Paul Hart with choreography from Nathan M Wright. The show has a book by Ken Ludwick.
