Stage and screen icon Chita Rivera is to perform two concerts at Cadogan Hall in 2019.

The West Side Story and The Rink star's concerts will take place at the Sloane Square venue at 2.30pm and 6.30pm on Sunday 10 February.

Tickets are on sale now.

Rivera will sing key songs from her career, which include numbers such as West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Chicago and Kiss of the Spider Woman. She will perform a special tribute to John Kander and Fred Ebb and songs by composers such as Leonard Bernstein, Charles Strouse and Lee Adams, Jerry Herman and Stephen Sondheim will also be featured.

She will be joined by special guests and accompanied by an orchestra led by Michael Croiter, her music director.

Rivera said: "I am so happy to be returning to my favourite town…so many memories, West Side Story, Bye Bye Birdie, Spider Woman, Palladium. And now Cadogan Hall. Can't wait!"

Rivera's extensive career includes The Visit – the final Kander/Ebb/Terrence McNally musical directed by John Doyle on Broadway, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Nine alongside Antonio Banderas.

She performed the song "Somewhere" from West Side Story at this year's Olivier Awards to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the production debuting in London. Over her career she has earned ten Tony Award nominations, winning twice, and in 2018 received the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.
