Alexis Zegerman’s new play opens the newly refurbished Kilburn Theatre
Casting has been announced for the world premiere of Alexis Zegerman's Holy Sh!t, the first production at the newly refurbished Kiln Theatre – formerly the Tricycle Theatre.
Directed by Kiln's artistic director Indhu Rubasingham, the cast will feature Daon Broni (Slaves of Solitude, Hampstead Theatre) as Nick, Claire Goose (Twitstorm, Park Theatre) as Juliet, Daniel Lapaine (The Invisible Hand, Tricycle) as Sam and Dorothea Myer-Bennett (The Winslow Boy, Chichester Festival Theatre) as Simone.
Zegerman's comedy is about four forty-somethings who will do anything to get their children into the local Church of England school and explores the bonds of family, faith and friendship.
The production will have design by Robert Jones, lighting by Oliver Fenwick, composition by David Shrubsole and sound by Alexander Caplen.
Other productions in Kiln's first season include a musical adaptation of Zadie Smith's novel White Teeth; Ishy Din's Approaching Empty; Florian Zeller's The Son; Samuel Adamson's Wife; a new revival of Sheldon Epps' Blues in the Night; and Anupama Chandrasekhar's When the Crows Visit.
