Casting has been announced for the new revival of Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia.
The show is the next production in Matthew Warchus’ final season as artistic director at the Old Vic.
As with all the shows in this final season, the piece will take place in the round. It marks Carrie Cracknell’s debut at the venue.
The full cast announced today includes Gabriel Akuwudike as Richard Noakes, Fiona Button as Lady Croom, Angus Cooper as Valentine Coverly, Seamus Dillane as Septimus Hodge, Leila Farzad as Hannah Jarvis, Tim Frances as Jellaby, Holly Godliman as Chloë Coverly, Isis Hainsworth as Thomasina Coverly, William Lawlor as Gus Coverly/ Augustus Coverly, Colin Mace as Captain Brice, RN, Prasanna Puwanarajah as Bernard Nightingale and Matthew Steer as Ezra Chater.
Joining Cracknell on the creative team are Alex Eales (set design), Suzanne Cave (costume design), Guy Hoare (lighting), Donato Wharton (sound), Ira Mandela Siobhan (movement), Stuart Earl (composer) and Serena Hill (casting).
Arcadia will run at the Old Vic from 24 January to 21 March 2026. A press performance is scheduled for 4 February.
