Louise Brealey and Joe Armstrong will star in Nick Payne’s two-hander
As previously rumoured, Sherlock star Louise Brealey will star as Marianne in the upcoming tour of Nick Payne's Constellations, which opens in Woking on 14 May.
She will be joined by Joe Armstrong (The Empire, The Dumb Waiter, Flare Path, Robin Hood) as Roland in the two-hander, which "raises questions about the difference between choice and destiny", and touches on multiverse theory, love and honey.
As well as Sherlock, in which she plays pathologist Molly Hooper, Louise Brealey has screen credits including Ripper Street and Casualty. Her stage work includes Miss Julie (Citizens Theatre), The Herd (Bush Theatre) and The Trojan Women (Gate Theatre), and she is also a playwright, having written Pope Joan for the National Youth Theatre.
The tour will open at Woking's New Victoria Theatre on 14 May 2015, before touring to Liverpool Playhouse (19-23 May), Bristol Old Vic (27-30 May), Nuffield Theatre Southampton (2-6 June), The Lowry Salford (9-13 June), Cambridge Arts Theatre (16-20 June), Richmond Theatre (23-27 June) and Theatre Royal Brighton (30 June to 4 July).
