Cast announced for A Song Goes Round The World

Following a run at St James Studio last year, Daniel Donskoy's production of A Song Goes Round The World will run at Upstairs at The Gatehouse from 25 to 30 April.
Donskoy, whose credits include The Glass Menagerie (Nottingham Playhouse) and Bad Jews (Arts Theatre), will star in the production which is described as 'an evening of European chansons' and will feature music from artists such as Russian cabaret star Alexander Vertinsky and French cabaret legend Edith Piaf. He will be joined by a different guest each evening including Jackie Marks (Les Miserables), Sarah Naudi (In the Heights) and Monique Young (42nd Street).
The show will feature German, Yiddish, French and Russian chansons (lyric-driven songs) and will be accompanied by Inga Davis-Rutter and her trio.
Talking about the production, Donskoy said: "In times of recent political upheaval where we seem to be drifting apart culturally, this is a perfect opportunity to come together for an evening of European music and to forget about Trump and Brexit. These performances are a chance to bring Europe together, even if it is just for one evening."
A Song Goes Round The World runs at Upstairs at The Gatehouse from 25 to 30 April.
