Bat Out of Hell to stage sing-a-long shows

The West End production will allow audiences to join in at five performances

Bat Out of Hell has announced five sing-a-long performances where audiences will be encouraged to sing along with the cast to Jim Steinman's songs.

The performances take place on Tuesday 28 August, Tuesday 25 September, Wednesday 31 October, Tuesday 27 November and Monday 31 December, while two costumed sing-a-long shows will take place on Halloween (31 October) and New Year's Eve (31 December). The best dressed audience member on each of these nights will go home with a Bat Out of Hell poster signed by Meat Loaf

Surtitles will be shown on screens during the shows, to enable the audience sing songs such as "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)", "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" and "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad".

Steinman's musical tells a love story between a young rebel Strat, and the daughter of a tyrannical ruler, Raven. The show is directed by Jay Scheib, with choreography from Emma Portner, set and costume design from Jon Bausor and Meentje Neilsen and lighting design from Patrick Woodroffe.
