Stars of stage and screen converged on the Savoy Theatre last night to see Imelda Staunton and Co. in the West End transfer of Sondheim’s classic musical
Following its sell-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre, Jonathan Kent's production of Gypsy starring Imelda Staunton opened at the Savoy Theatre last night.
Guests joining Staunton and fellow cast members Lara Pulver and Peter Davison, included Angela Lansbury who played the role of Momma Rose in the UK premiere in 1974.
Among other guests in attendance were Paul O'Grady, Craig Revel Horwood and Elaine Paige.
