Andrew Scott will transfer to the West End in the Almeida's hit production of Hamlet.

Scott opened in the titular role in Shakespeare's tragedy in February this year and will continue the role as the show moves to the Harold Pinter Theatre in June. Robert Icke's production received rave reviews including a five star write up from WhatsOnStage's Sarah Crompton.

The show will open on 9 June and run until 2 September and there will be over 300 tickets at less than £30 for each night of the run.

Scott said selling cheaper tickets were a conditional part of agreeing to the run. He told Time Out: "It’s not interesting if people are priced out, or feel they have to like it because they paid £80."

Hamlet runs at the Almeida Theatre until April 15. The show then transfers to the Harold Pinter between 9 June and 2 September.
