Disney's Aladdin will fly into the West End this evening, opening at the Prince Edward Theatre in London.
Starring Dean John Wilson in the title role, the musical is an adaptation of the 1992 film featuring songs including "Friend Like Me", "A Whole New World" and "Arabian Nights".
The cast also features Jade Ewen as Jasmine and Trevor Dion Nicholas as Genie. They are joined by Don Gallagher as Jafar, Peter Howe as Iago, Irvine Iqbal as the Sultan, Nathan Amzi as Babkak, Stephen Rahman-Hughes as Kassim and Rachid Sabitri as Omar.
The show, directed by Casey Nicholaw, arrives in London after a run in Broadway, and has music by Alan Menken, and lyrics from Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin, who also wrote the book.
Aladdin is currently booking at the Prince Edward Theatre until 11 February 2017.
