The 14 performers who will make up the new repertory theatre company in Liverpool have been announced
The Everyman Theatre has announced its rep company ahead of the new season next year.
In April this year, artistic director Gemma Bodinetz announced the theatre would be returning to the repertory theatre model after 25 years.
The company of actors will make up the casts in all of the shows at the Liverpool Everyman throughout the year. Several actors return to Liverpool, including Melanie La Barrie, Richard Bremmer, Dean Nolan and Laura Dos Santos.
Elsewhere, actors will make the debuts at the Everyman including Patrick Brennan, Tom Kanji and Asha Kingsley.
There are three performers making their professional debuts in the company: Elliott Davis, who came up through the Young Everyman Playhouse company, Emily Hughes, who was selected from open auditions, RADA graduate George Caple and recent LIPA Design Prize winner Molly Elizabeth Lacey Davies,who will be part of the design team.
Pauline Daniels, Keddy Sutton, Liam Tobin and Zelina Rebeiro will also be part of the company.
The first show the company will be taking on is Fiddler on the Roof which will run at the Everyman from 22 February to 11 March with previews from 17 February. The Conquest of the South Pole will run in March, as well as productions of The Story Giant in April, The Sum in May and Romeo and Juliet in May.
Bodinetz, Nick Bagnall and YEP director Matt Rutter will direct all of the shows between them.
Bodinetz said: "By having a Rep Company we’re creating a family that can really respond to the city, who will create a conversation with our audiences and will together create vibrant, vital work. "
Everyman's associate director Bagnall added: "Through an incredibly rigorous casting process I believe we have found a group of multi skilled and agile performers who will tell these beautiful stories with joy and an open heart."
