We caught up with Debbie to find out of a few of her favourite things…

What/who is your favourite…

Film?

Soooo many favourites!! La Vie en Rose springs to mind. Marion Cotillard's performance is truly heartbreaking.

Place to hangout in London?

Anywhere with a view of the river (Thames). I love Somerset House and the South Bank.

Restaurant?

Oooo! If I had to pick one it would probably be "J Sheekey" but I love the low key vibe of "The Big Easy" in Covent Garden. Basically anywhere that'll serve me a bucket full of crab claws….

Holiday destination?

I love my city breaks. I took my daughter to Barcelona last year. We loved it.

Play/Musical that you have seen?

I love shows that take me on an emotional roller coaster ride. Once was breathtaking and it absolutely floored me. I will always love Miss Saigon. I recently saw Skylight at the cinema as part of the NT live screenings. No gimmicks, just great acting. Bloody brilliant.

Actor/Actress?

Ugh! Impossible to answer!! All the usual suspects of course…. but I'll pick a few that have impressed me recently….. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Carey Mulligan, Rosamund Pike, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.

Theatre to Visit

Theatre Royal Stratford East. It's a stunning theatre with a relaxed vibe. It's so cosy. And the food in the bar is yummy!

Theatre You've Performed In

The London Palladium. Such an iconic theatre. Such history. Putting your make up on in dressing room number 1 (the Judy Garland room) whilst thinking of all the legends who have stared into the same mirror is a trip.

Song to Sing

Anything by Prince. He has such a ridiculous range so his songs are perfect to get my voice going. "Ohhhh yeaahhh!"
