White Teeth musical at Kiln Theatre: first listen

A stage adaptation of Zadie Smith's novel White Teeth opens this week so we popped down to the rehearsal room to get an exclusive first listen.
The world premiere is directed by Kiln's artistic director Indhu Rubasingham with a cast featuring Ayesha Antoine, Michelle Austin, Phillip Bird, Matthew Churcher, Ayesha Dharker, Naomi Frederick, Tony Jayawardena, Richard Lumsden, Nenda Neurer, Karl Queensborough, Sid Sagar, Zoe West, Amanda Wilkin and Assad Zaman.
Adapted for the stage by Stephen Sharkey, the play with songs follows the myriad lives lived on the Kilburn High Road, following characters including Rosie Jones, the Iqbal twins, their parents, their grandparents and Mad Mary.
