Samuel West joins cast of The Writer at the Almeida Theatre

Further casting has been announced for the upcoming production of The Writer at the Almeida Theatre.
Samuel West will join the already announced Romola Garai in the piece alongside Michael Gould and Lara Rossi.
The piece will be directed by Blanche McIntyre and focuses on a young writer who challenges the status quo, but at a cost. Hickson returns to the Almeida following her play Oil, which starred Anne-Marie Duff in 2016.
Garai will play the Writer, while West plays Male Actor/Boyfriend, Rossi plays Female Actor/Girlfriend and Gould plays Director. It is the latest in the Almeida's season, which also includes the recently opened Summer and Smoke, the upcoming Machinal by Sophie Treadwell and Dance Nation by Clare Barron.
The Writer runs from 24 April to 26 May with previews from 14 April.
