”The Vortex” at Chichester Festival Theatre reveals further casting

Chichester Festival Theatre has confirmed additional casting for its upcoming revival of Noël Coward’s The Vortex, directed by Daniel Raggett.

Set in the roaring 20s and exploring the darker side of the Jazz Age, the piece is led by mother-and-son duo Lia Williams and Joshua Hames, portraying Florence and Nicky Lancaster, alongside Priyanga Burford as Helen. Newly announced are Jessica Alade as Clara, Richard Cant as Pawnie, Sean Delaney as Tom, Hugh Ross as David, Evan Milton as Bruce, and Esme Scarborough as Preston.

The piece, which marks the venue’s first in-house production, features set design by Joanna Scotcher, costume design by Evie Gurney, lighting design by Zoe Spurr, music and sound design by Giles Thomas, movement by Michela Meazza and casting by Lotte Hines CDG.

The Vortex runs from 28 April to 20 May, with a press night set for 4 May.
