Terence Rattigan's play is about 18-year-old Michael who finds who returns from Canada during the war and finds out that his widowed mother Olivia is the mistress of a cabinet minister.
Directed by Trevor Nunn, the production will open at the Menier next week.
The cast also includes Edward Bluemel, Vivienne Rochester and Helen Sloane.
Love in Idleness runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 20 March to 29 April, with previews from now.
