Full casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Blithe Spirit at the Gielgud Theatre starring Angela Lansbury as Madame Arcati.

Jemima Rooper, Sandra Dickinson, Simon Jones and Patsy Ferran will join Lansbury and the previously announced Charles Edwards and Janie Dee in the show, which is directed by Michael Blakemore and runs from 18 March to 7 June 2014 (previews from 1 March).

Jemima Rooper, who plays Elvira, has theatre credits including One Man, Two Guvnors, where she originated the role of Rachel Crabbe, (National, West End, UK tour and Broadway), All My Sons (West End), The Power of Yes and Her Naked Skin (National Theatre). TV roles include Atlantis, Lost in Austen and Hex.

Sandra Dickinson (Mrs Bradman) has stage credits including Singin' in the Rain (CFT/West End), A Woman of No Importance and Not About Nightingales. Simon Jones (Doctor George Bradman) played alongside Angela Lansbury in the Broadway production, and other Broadway credits include The Real Thing, Benefactors and Getting Married. Blithe Spirit sees Jones return to the West End for the first time in 35 years. Patsy Ferran, who plays Edith, is making her professional stage debut.

The production of Noel Coward's sharp comedy is produced in the West End by Lee Dean, Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, John Frost, Steve Traxler, Will Trice and Charles Diamond.
