Jack Thorne’s Mydidae transfers to Trafalgar 2 in March

Following its premiere at Soho Theatre last month, Jack Thorne‘s Mydidae will transfer to Trafalgar Studios 2 in March.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Keir Charles will recreate their performances in the play, an intimate exploration of a relationship between two people staged in a fully plumbed bathroom.

Directed by Vicky Jones, Mydidae was originally commissioned by new writing company DryWrite as their first full-length play.

Mydidae opens at a poignant milestone in a young couple’s life, the first
anniversary of a shared personal tragedy; David and Marian’s different
perspectives of the event and their conflicting views test their
relationship and force brutal realities into the forefront of their
consciousness.

According to press material, “It is a play for women, it is a play for men and it is a play for anyone who has ever shared a bath.”

Jack Thorne‘s other plays include When You Cure Me (Bush), Bunny (Edinburgh Fringe First winner) and 2nd May 1997 (Bush). His TV credits include Skins, Shameless, This is England ’86 and The Fades, for which he won a BAFTA.

Mydidae runs at Trafalgar Studios 2 from 5-30 March 2013.
