Lucy Black withdraws from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest following injury

Jenny Livsey will replace Black in the production, which has its opening night tomorrow

Lucy Black has withdrawn from Sheffield Crucible's production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which has its official opening night tomorrow.

Black, who played Nurse Ratched in the production, suffered an injury on Sunday morning. The role will now be taken on by Jenny Livsey, who played the part at the Torch Theatre in October 2017. Livsey's other credits include Orange (Richard Burton Theatre) and Princess and the Pea (Sherman Cymru and Theatr Lolo).

Currently in previews, the production is directed by Javaad Alipoor and is based on the novel by Ken Kesey. Also starring in the production are Nathan Amzi, Andrew Dennis, Harry Egan, Joel Gillman, Clive Hayward, Tom Hodgkins, Arthur Hughes, Melissa Johns, Mohammed Mansaray, Shaun Mason, Jeremy Proulx, Jack Tarlton and Shelley Williams.
