Wicked celebrates 4000th performance

The hit musical Wicked celebrated its 4000th performance today.

The award-winning production is now in its 10th anniversary year and is currently the ninth longest running show in the West End. The musical recently extended its booking period until 29 April 2017.

Wicked, which tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, has won two Olivier Audience Awards and nine WhatsOnStage Awards.

Currently running at the Apollo Victoria, the production stars Emma Hatton as Elphaba, Savannah Stevenson as Glinda, Oliver Savile as Fiyero and Liza Sadovy as Madame Morrible.

The show recently welcomed Mark Curry who takes on the role of The Wizard.
