The production will coincide with the 20th anniversary of Danny Boyle’s film
Trainspotting is to transfer to The Vaults this November following two sell-out runs at the King's Head Theatre.
The 11-week run is to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Danny Boyle's iconic film starring Ewan McGregor, which was based on the novel by Irvine Welsh. A sequel to the film, also to be directed by Boyle, will be released early next year.
Adapted by Harry Gibson, the play will take place in a special immersive space which will see the majority of the audience sat amidst the action.
The play is set in '80s Edinburgh and tells the story of a group of heroin addicts. It will be directed by Adam Spreadbury-Maher in collaboration with Greg Esplin.
Trainspotting will run at The Vaults from 8 November.
