Thriller Live will extend its West End run at the Lyric Theatre until April 2019.

The show, which will celebrate its 4000th performance on 12 September (and is currently the 14th longest running musical in the West End), honours the musical legacy of Michael Jackson in a concert-style performance channelling the King of Pop's choreography and tunes. The new extension period will also cover what would have been Michael Jackson's 60th birthday on 29 August.

While running in the West End, Thriller Live is also currently touring the world, visiting the UK, Germany, Poland, Kuwait and Dubai.

Dancers Leona Lawrenson, Mari Macleod, Matt Vjestica and Vivian Gayle will join the London production as the new extension is announced. The show changes each year with new numbers added, and features specially created video footage and effects as well as choreography by the show's award-winning director, Gary Lloyd. It has set design by Jonathan Park, lighting design by Nigel Catmur and sound design by Chris Whybrow.
