Theatr Clwyd, the largest producing theatre in Wales, has announced its September to January programme.

The programme features two Christmas productions: The Snow Queen, which is co-produced by previous Theatr Clwyd collaborators, Paperfinch and Sleeping Beauty – The Rock and Roll Panto.

The Snow Queen, adapted and directed by Joe Bunce, will open in the Emlyn Williams Theatre from 15 December until 6 January.

In the Anthony Hopkins Theatre, a new production of Peter Rowe’s Sleeping Beauty – The Rock n’ Roll Panto will run from 24 November to 20 January. This production sees Zoë Waterman direct actor-musicians playing rock and soul classics, including "Superstition", "Celebration" and "Every Breath You Take".

Theatr Clwyd and HighTide’s co-production of Nessah Muthy’s Heroine will run from 18 October to 4 November in the Emlyn Williams Theatre. This follows performances at this year’s HighTide Festival at Aldeburgh and Walthamstow. The production will be directed by HighTide co-founder and artistic director, Steven Atkinson.

These shows will join the previously announced productions of Uncle Vanya; a newly adapted co-production with Sheffield Theatres, and a major revival of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.

Theatr Clwyd’s ice rink which overlooks the Clwydian Hills will also return for a second year.
