Royal Exchange announces spring/summer studio shows

The venue will host work by Blast Theory and Chris Thorpe

Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre has announced full details of shows in its Studio for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 season.

Highlights include the world premiere of 2013 Bruntwood Prize Winner YEN by Anna Jordan (18 February-7 March) and Blast Theory's Too Much Information (27 February-1 March), which will involve an audio walk around the streets of Manchester.

The studio programme also includes Brink (26-28 March), a Royal Exchange Young Company collaboration with poet and novelist Jackie Kay, and Confirmation (27-30 May), the Edinbrugh Fringe hit written and performed by newly appointed Exchange associate artist Chris Thorpe.

There will also be visiting shows from Mars.tarrab, Sleepdogs, Ovalhouse & Arch 468, Warwick Arts Centre & China Plate and Grayscale.

The season's events will include a weekend of outdoor theatre and A Night at the Theatre, a "giant sleepover" in The Theatre and the Great Hall.
