Moses Raine's play Donkey Heart will transfer to the Trafalgar Studios from 7 to 31 January 2015, following a sold out season at the Old Red Lion in Islington earlier this year.

It's directed by the playwright's award-winning sister Nina Raine, whose recent credits include Tribes (Royal Court), Longing (Hampstead Theatre) and Jumpy (Royal Court and Duke of York’s Theatre).

In a small flat in Moscow, life after communism is utterly different and yet somehow eerily familiar for three generations of one family.

Petya’s dodging the draft, Sasha’s jumping with every ring of the bell, Ivan’s brought a mysterious stranger home, and now their guest Thomas is asking questions. Who do you trust? The state may not be spying on you, but can you say the same for your nearest and dearest?

The cast includes Pierre Atri (Kolya), Emily Bruni (Natalia), Lisa Diveney (Sasha), Patrick Godfrey (Alexander), Georgia Henshaw (Clara), Alex Large (Tom), Albie Marber (Kolya), James Musgrave (Petya) and Paul Wyett (Ivan).
