A corner of the sky in a corner of north London!

Pippin will be revived at Upstairs at the Gatehouse in London.
Stephen Schwartz and Roger O Hirson’s musical follows a young prince searching for meaning through war, love and ambition, guided by a troupe of travelling performers.
This new staging draws on the show’s long history, from its original Broadway production directed by Bob Fosse to the 2013 revival by Diane Paulus, and will feature the “Theo ending” first conceived by Mitch Sebastian in 1998.
The production is directed and choreographed by Amanda Noar, with Isaac Bernier-Doyle as associate director and Harry Style as musical director. Set and costume design is by Hannah Danson, and the show is produced by Annlouise Butt for Chromolume. Casting will be announced at a later date.
Butt and Bernier-Doyle said today: “We love a non-traditional festive offering at the Gatehouse – shows that dazzle even as they disturb. Stephen Schwartz’s Pippin is just that: part fairy tale, part fever dream, a carnival of spectacle and unease. It’s a thrill to bring this cult classic back to the stage with all its smoke, sequins, and sly seductions intact.”
It runs from 11 December 2025 to 11 January 2026.
