Eddie Izzard and more turned out to celebrate the opening of Deborah Warner’s production
Cast and guests celebrated on Friday night at the after party of the opening of Deborah Warner's production of King Lear.
Glenda Jackson plays Shakespeare's king in the new production, which also stars Jane Horrocks, Rhys Ifans, Morfydd Clark, Celia Imrie and Danny Webb.
The Old Vic production marked Jackson's return to the stage after two decades away and her performance was largely heralded by the critics.
On press night, in the eye-gouging scene, one of Gloucester's fake eyes was flung into the audience. It landed on an audience member's head before dropping into her ice cream pot.
King Lear runs at the Old Vic until 3 December.
