Two West End big-hitters have recently announced casting changes
New casting has been announced for WhatsOnStage and Olivier Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon.
From 2 February 2015, the company will be led by Nic Rouleau as Elder Price and Brian Sears as Elder Cunningham, both of whom have played the roles on Broadway.
They will join continuing cast members Alexia Khadime, Stephen Ashfield, Hugo Harold-Harrison, and Chris Jarman at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
The full cast will include Josh Andrews, Gabrielle Brooks, Danny Colligan, Christopher Copeland, Nicholas Corre, Brendan Cull, Tim Edwards, Keisha T Fraser, Ross Hunter, Sia Kiwa, Dan Looney, Daniel Mackinlay, David McMullan, Tania Mathurin, Abiola Ogunbiyi, Oliver Ormson, Sean Parkins, Michael Peters, Ashley Samuels, Rhys Taylor, Ricardo Coke Thomas, and Kayi Ushe.
New casting has also been announced for WhatsOnStage Awards nominated screen-to-stage play Shakespeare in Love.
From 12 January, Orlando James will star as Will Shakespeare opposite Eve Ponsonby as Viola De Lesseps. The pair recently appeared together in Cheek by Jowl's production of ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore directed by Shakespeare in Love director Declan Donnellan.
Joining James and Ponsonby in the cast, Nicholas Asbury will play Wessex, Neal Barry will play Henslowe, Richard Bremmer will play Tilney and Sir Robert De Lesseps, Paul Brennen will play Fennyman, Suzanne Burden will play Queen Elizabeth, Ryan Donaldson will play Ned Alleyn, Edward Franklin will play Marlowe, Ncuti Gatwa will play Wabash, Gregg Lowe will play Sam, Andy McKeane will play Ralph, Peter Moreton will play Burbage, Joy Richardson will play Nurse, Charlie Tighe will play Nol and Stuart Wilde will play Webster.
The cast will also include Aaron Anthony, Jonno Davies, Peter Hannah, Nick Hart, Joshua Higgott, Sioned Jones, Sandy Murray, Ellie Nunn, Thomas Padden, Stevie Raine, Elliot Rennie and Florence Roberts. Barney will continue in his much-loved role as Spot the Dog.
