Over half a million people are expected to visit this year's West End Live, which takes place in Trafalgar Square on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2015.

Now in its 11th year, the event sees casts from a host of West End shows performing free to the public.

Shows confirmed to take part this year include: Billy Elliot, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Commitments, The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Les Misérables, Let it Be, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games, Mamma Mia!, Matilda, Miss Saigon, The Phantom Of The Opera, Stomp, Thriller Live, War Horse and Wicked.

Making their West End Live debuts are American Idiot, Burt Bacharach – Reimagined, The Dreamers, Dusty, Gypsy, Memphis and the Open Air Theatre's Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.

There will also be performances from English National Opera (ENO) and touring productions of Avenue Q and Shrek The Musical. And there'll be a "sneak preview" of incoming West End shows Elf and Three Little Pigs.

On the Sunday there will be a West End cabaret hosted by Ben Stock, featuring some of the West End's "best loved performers". Fans will have the chance to request their favourite show tune to be performed by tweeting their suggestions before 10 June.

West End Live, which is held in association with Mastercard, is organised by Westminster City Council and Official London Theatre.

Theatre fans can also visit Leicester Square over the weekend for a "dose of outstanding family fun" in the pop-up Spiegeltent.

Julian Bird, chief executive of the Society of London Theatre, said: "Theatre is one of the capital's greatest draws with an international reputation for offering world-class entertainment, and West End Live is a unique opportunity to showcase the quality and diversity of shows the London stage has to offer as well as putting on a great free family event for the public to enjoy."
