The Library Theatre's Young Company (LTYC), previously the norfox Young People's Theatre Company, is offering an opportunity for performers aged 14-18 to develop their skills within a professional theatre environment.

As a member of LTYC you will take part in weekly skills workshops where you will be encouraged to be imaginative and push your creative boundaries, working alongside industry experts as well as forming strong bonds with your fellow performers. The workshops will take place at Capitol Theatre and the group will be working towards creating a piece of performance in April 2014.

Previous participants have gone on to complete courses in acting in some of the country's most prestigious drama schools including RADA and Manchester School of Theatre. Some have gone on to seek careers in other areas of theatre-making whilst for others it has helped massively in building up their self-confidence.

LTYC aims to make performances that aren't your usual youth theatre productions and with the Library Theatre and Cornerhouse joining forces, there will be exciting opportunities to produce collaborative work across theatre, visual art and film.
