Le Gateau Chocolat, flamboyant star of Olivier-winner La Clique, will return to London with his solo show this August.
The cross-dressing operatic performer, famous for squeezing into too-small lycra, will perform an array of songs from Radiohead to Bassey, linked together by his own personal narrative. Supported by live strings and piano, the show boasts a host of costume changes, glitz and stagey paraphernalia familiar from the previous cabaret variety show.
Le Gateau is a London-born Nigerian, and has sung at the Royal Opera House and got his break in a TV opera talent show. His solo show premiered at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
