Kate O’Flynn and Matthew Beard to star in Caryl Churchill world premiere next month

The Almeida Theatre has announced the world premiere of Triumph, a new 15-minute play by Caryl Churchill.
Directed by James Macdonald, the production stars Tony nominee Matthew Beard and Emmy Award winner Kate O’Flynn and will run for one week only from 16 to 23 October 2026.
The play follows press secretary Iris, who is falling for a reporter, as questions arise over whether everyone will remain happy. According to the Almeida, Triumph draws on Suetonius’s The Twelve Caesars. Churchill’s previous plays include Fen and Cloud 9.
The press night will take place on 16 October at 4pm.
