A James Bond musical is reportedly in the works, with a view to making a killing on Broadway.

According to Playbill, the show is being produced by Merry Saltzman, daughter of original Bond producer Harry Saltzman.

Details remain sketchy, but the project will reportedly feature an original storyline, a collection of famous villains and an original Bond girl.

"Production schedules and trial runs are still being worked out in anticipation of a late 2017-early 2018 opening," Saltzman said.

With a book by novelist Dave Clarke and music and lyrics by country composer Jay Henry Weisz, James Bond: The Musical could either premiere on Broadway or in Las Vegas.
