Inaugural West End Flea Market to take place in May

West End Flea Market offers a chance for audiences to buy memorabilia of big shows in London

A brand new West End Flea Market is taking place in London, it has been announced.

Acting for Others, the charity behind West End Bake Off, is organising the stagey flea market on 18 May at St Paul's Church in Covent Garden.

The event will see a variety of stalls, hosted by different West End shows, which feature goodies including signed posters, props and photos of performers. Participants include Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, Only Fools and Horses, The Royal Opera House, The Phantom of the Opera, The Mousetrap and Les Miserables with more to be announced.

Each stall will compete to win Best Dressed Stall, with judges including Christopher Biggins, Celia Imrie and Bill Paterson presiding over the winning choices. The winner will be announced at 10.45 and there will be an auction, with memorabilia being offered as well as the chance to meet stars.

The event is free and takes place from 10.45am to 1pm.

The Theatre Café will host a refreshments stall, Su Pollard will be telling fortunes and Acting for Others will have a signing and selfie area where guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the stars including Annette Badland, Hayley Mills, Wendi Peters, Harriet Thorpe, Layton Williams and Tom Read Wilson with more to be announced.
