Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical has extended for the second time since opening in October
The critically acclaimed production of In the Heights, has extended its run at King’s Cross Theatre for a second time, now booking for an additional 3 months until Sunday 10 April 2016.
The musical, by Lin-Manuel Miranda, returned to London earlier this year following a sell-out UK premiere at Southwark Playhouse in 2014. Read Michael Coveney's review for WhatsOnStage here.
The production features Sam Mackay as Usnavi alongside a stellar cast including David Bedella (The Rocky Horror Show), Jade Ewen (Sugababes), Lily Frazer (Cats), Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (A Chorus Line), Eve Polycarpou (Mother Courage and Her Children) and Joe Aaron Reid (Ghost, Broadway)
Completing the cast is Josie Benson, Vas Constanti, Antoine Murray-Straughan, Sarah Naudi, Cleve September, Jocasta Almgill, Courtney-Mae Briggs, Michael Cortez, Gabriela Garcia, Reiss Hinds, Alexandra Sarmiento, Spin and Philippa Stefani.
In The Heights is directed by Luke Sheppard (Casa Valentina), with choreography by Drew McOnie (The Lorax, Hairspray, Bugsy Malone) and musical supervision by Tom Deering (Made in Dagenham).
King’s Cross Theatre is a purpose built theatre at Kings Cross Station. The venue is also home to The Railway Children which will continue to play in rep with In The Heights.
