A brand-new 50-minute interactive outdoor show is heading to London’s Covent Garden Piazza this spring.
Themed to Beatrix Potter’s beloved characters and featuring live performance and puppetry, The Peter Rabbit Easter Adventure will see guests accompany Potter on a mission to rescue Jemima Puddle-Duck from the clutches or Mr McGregor. Alongside Peter himself, they will also encounter other characters along the journey such as Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Benjamin Bunny.
Adapted by Calum Finlay and directed by Barney McElholm, the show is designed by Tina Torbey and produced by Histrionic Productions in association with Penguin Ventures.
Histrionic founder Adam McKenzie Wylie said: “After a hugely successful inaugural outing at Blenheim Palace last summer for The Peter Rabbit Garden Adventure, Histrionic Productions is delighted to be staging The Peter Rabbit Easter Adventure at Covent Garden this Easter holiday. The combination of Peter Rabbit, the inspirational surroundings of London’s original fruit and veg market and Eastertime is perfect theatrical-alchemy for an all-new, urban, family, immersive experience for 2023 and we are delighted to once again be working with our friends at Penguin Ventures to bring this family-favourite to life in the heart of old London.”
Each ticket will also include an ‘Activity Burrow’ to encourage creaftive crafting for all ages, with activities ranging from letter writing to Potter to a Peter Rabbit reading corner.
The Peter Rabbit Easter Adventure will run from 21 March until 16 April 2023, with tickets on sale from 27 February.
