Giles Terera joins The American Clock at the Old Vic

The Olivier Award-winning actor will appear in Rachel Chavkin’s revival of Arthur Miller’s classic

Olivier Award-winner Giles Terera has joined the cast of Rachel Chavkin's revival of Arthur Miller's The American Clock at the Old Vic.

Terera recently finished his run originating the West End role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton, for which he won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He has been nominated for the WhatsOnStage Award for the same category. His other credits include The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at Donmar Warehouse and Avenue Q.

Playing the roles of Moe Baum and Robertson, he joins a cast including Amber Aga, Paul Bentall, Greg Bernstein, Clare Burt, Flora Dawson, Abhin Galeya, Fred Haig, Jyuddah Jaymes, John Marquez, Francesca Mills, Taheen Modak, Christian Patterson, Golda Rosheuvel, Abdul Salis, Josie Walker and Ewan Wardrop.

Miller's play is set in the aftermath of the Great Depression, and follows the Baum family as they struggle through life. Chavkin's production will have three sets of actors in the roles of Moe, Rose and Lee Baum for each performance.

The American Clock begins performances on 4 February.
