John Owen-Jones and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt will join Frances Ruffelle in Drew McOnie's production of Michael John LaChiusa's 2000 musical, The Wild Party.

The musical, which will be the first production in The Other Palace (formerly the St James Theatre), will be directed and choreographed by Olivier Award-winner McOnie.

Further casting includes Ako Mitchell (Ragtime), Lizzy Connolly (Once in a Lifetime), Bronte Barbe (Shrek), Dex Lee (Grease) and Tiffany Graves (The Producers).

The cast is completed by Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie, Melanie Bright, Simon Thomas, Gloria Obianyo, Genisis Lynea, Steven Serlin and Sebastien Torkia.

McOnie's recent credits include Strictly Ballroom at West Yorkshire Playhouse, In the Heights at the King's Cross Theatre, and Jesus Christ Superstar at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, for which he was recently nominated for Best Choreography in this year's WhatsOnStage Awards.

Based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 poem of the same name, The Wild Party tells the story of one wild evening in a Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie (Ruffelle) and Burrs (Owen-Jones), a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown.

Andrew Lloyd Webber recently purchased the St James Theatre with the aim of it becoming the home of new musical theatre. The Wild Party will be Paul Taylor-Mills' (Carrie, In the Heights) first show as the venue's new artistic director.

The Wild Party runs at The Other Palace from 11 February to 1 April.
