Friends star to return to West End stage

Matthew Perry will star in the world premiere of his debut play next year

Matthew Perry, best known for playing Chandler Bing in the long-running TV sitcom Friends, is to star in his own play The End of Longing at the Playhouse Theatre, London next year.

The production, which will be the world premiere of this playwriting debut, will be directed by Lindsay Posner (Speed the Plow, Other Desert Cities) and runs from 2 February – 14 May 2016.

Perry and Posner have worked together before in the West End, on Sexual Perversity in Chicago at the Comedy Theatre in 2003.

The play features four characters, Jack, Stephanie, Joseph and Stevie, each searching for meaning as they enter their forties.
